I'm a professional singing teacher, teaching from my studio in Haringey, only a 10 minute walk from Manor House tube.
When restrictions allow, I also travel to students' houses providing you have a keyboard/piano and are in reasonable cycling distance of N4.
I teach all styles, except classical, including pop, jazz, blues, indie, musical theatre, rock, folk, and heavy metal. I am friendly and encouraging, and will really work with you to help develop your individual voice.
I work with students of all ages and abilities - ranging from complete beginners to professional singers. Students of mine have gone on to study at some of the UK's top contemporary music and musical theatre colleges, and many perform professionally.
In general, lessons focus on a variety of exercises which will help build up range, tone, tuning, power, support and control, and then we put these into practice by singing a song or two. In addition to vocal and breathing techniques, I can also teach sight singing, improvising, aural, music theory, performance and audition technique.
My lessons are flexible and I try to adapt them to each student and their individual needs. I am also a working audio engineer, and am more than happy to record demo tracks in my studio during in-person lessons.
I have a full and up-to-date DBS (CRB) certificate and I enjoy teaching children as well as adults (although I find 30-45 mins works better for younger children).

I can also teach RockSchool, Trinity Rock and London College of Music vocal exams and performance certificates, should you wish to pursue a more academic route.
To date, my students have achieved a 100% Merit/Distinction pass rate across Grades 1 through to 8.
